I replaced this piece of tubing but this didn't solve the problem. There was an air bubble in this piece of tubing and the machine was making an unusual bubbling sound. Refilling the reservoir with DI water immediately change the sound, got rid of the air bubble in the tubing and the dew point began to drop towards the set point.

NR01 2420 2021-02-18 Lab none Repair Lab none Over the last week or so I disassembled and cleaned this sensor. I don't see any water damage but I can't get the LW junction board loose as it seems glued to the case. I totally replaced the four wires running between the LW and SW sides. These wires were broken after having been previously broken and spliced. I soldered new wires directly to the junction boards. I collected about two days of data on the window sill with the sensor partially disassembled so that all four sensors could point up together. The relationship between the paired sensors was very tight (r-squared >0.99) - excluding a portion of the LW data that might have been affected by solar heating. LW had a sloped of 1.01 but SW had a slope of 1.20 - new calibration coefficients are probably needed. Today I completely reassembled the sensor and put it out the window on a boom to collect some data to check the assembly.

On the 30th it was still damp inside and I ran dry air through the holes under the circuit boards for two days.

I flowed dry air into the desiccant bottle openings over night. On the 1st, after consultation with Licor, I powered up this head on the calibration rig in the lab. It seemed to operate fine. I flooded the base with zero air before sealing it back up but it needs to run for a while to equilibrate and be calibrated.

On the evening of the 29th, about 1/2 cup of water came out of the bottom when I removed the base. I removed the desiccant bottle in the head and saw no evidence that water had leaked in there. I left dry air flowing inside the base over night. On the 30th I removed the bottom case and only saw minor water damage on the pressure sensor. On the 1st, after consultation with Licor, I powered up the analyzer and got green power and status lights but no communications on the Ethernet. It will need to be returned to Licor for further evaluation.
