The cable insulation on this sensor was rotted. I cut the cable off near the sensor and spliced on a new cable. I also added an aluminum bracket to provide strain relief and used liquid electrical tape to seal the hole where the cable enters the sensor. The white wire (+) had a nick in its insulation right at the point where it entered the sensor that I covered with heat shrink. |
