Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, windy day, road construction on Grizzly Island Road, added RSB diffuse PAR sensor
| 2021-04-27 Hill Slough I arrived at 9:55 PDT. It was sunny with a cold breeze. Road construction has begun about ¼ mile south of the tower; lots of trucks rumbling back and forth. There were a few sprinkles of rain a few days ago on Sunday, but that might be the last of the rain for this season. There were no wasps this week in the met box, so sealing the cable hole with putty was good enough to keep them out. I didn’t see my gloves at the tower or at the parking spot like I expected. Darn. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. I downloaded the FD data and cleared its memory. I cleaned flux and rad sensors. The spars on the eddy sensors were pretty dirty and SWin and LWin sensors were muddy. The wash reservoir was 2/3 full; I refilled it. I added a rotating shadow band to measure diffuse PAR with PAR sensor Licor sn Q100420 and CR10X sn 47253. I uploaded a new CR1000 program with updated measurement instructions and output table. LI-7500 readings: CO2 375ppm H2O 482ppm T 20.4C P 101.8kPa SS 80 --> 99 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 1.96ppm RSSI 47 --> 73 after cleaning I left at 11:15 PDT. |
