Twitchell Rice
2014-10-02

We arrived around 09:15 PDT. It was sunny and warm already. The rice field was partially harvested when we arrived and Jim et al. were around getting ready to harvest the rest. He said the yield was looking good this year after their measures to scare the black birds off. We downloaded data and removed the tower, ground sensors, rain gauge, boardwalk, and transect from the field. I also updated the 7500 firmware to 7.3.0.

Releveled tower on berm. Installed rain gauge on berm (tipped bucket a few times). Rotated rad boom to the north (over berm). New sonic N is at 90° true.

Readings after move and cleaning:
CO2 = 424 ppm
H2O = 460 mmol m-3
signal strength = 88.32%
p = 102.2 kPa
t = 24.1 C
sos: 347.2 m s-1
CH4 = 2.0 ppm
RSSI = 71%

Met looked good.
