Summary: Data download. Recorded serial numbers for optical DO probes. Swapped out 2% CO2 probe for 4% probe. Updated 7500 firmware.

West Pond
2014-10-02

We arrived around 12:30 PDT. It was hot, sunny and calm-ish. Site is still green. Took water samples. Downloaded data. Got serial numbers from the optical DO sensors. Removed the 2% Forerunner CO2 probe (sn GP20140009) and installed a 4% Forerunner probe (sn GP20140021). After several minutes, the temperature voltage read about the same and the CO2 voltage was low (350 mV) but rising. There is a new wasp nest under the top scaffold. Bring wasp spray next time. Updated 7500 firmware to 7.3.0.

DO sensor serial numbers according height above soil surface (within water column):
2 cm: sn 1221
7.5 cm: sn 1219
13 cm: sn 1220

Readings (after cleaning):
CO2 = 400 ppm
H2O = 545 mmol m-3
signal strength = 94.45%
p = 101.3 kPa
t = 27.8 C
sos = 35.6 m s-1
CH4 = 2.0 ppm
RSSI = 77%
Reservoir almost full.

Met looked good.
Cleaned rad.
