Bouldin Corn

We arrived at 9:55. The gate was open. There was a big back up on 12W because of an earlier accident. It was cool and breezy, with clear skies.

They've started harvesting corn on Bouldin, and we saw multiple trucks going back and forth by our field. A few rows had been harvested along the southern edge of our field. Tyler had come out over the weekend to remove their chambers, and they helped pull our soil sensors out and coiled them up on the tower. Russ stopped by and Joe told him we were all clear of the field; Tyler also texted Ben to say they were good to harvest.

Joe put some of the soil senors back in the ground under the tower. All the soil moisture probes went back in vertically at the surface, the soil heat flux plates were buried at about -2cm, and one of the thermocouple profiles went back in. The other two thermocouple profiles need some repairs.

Joe and Kuno measured plant density on the field, and took veg height and biomass samples of 5 plants. One of the samples was two plants (1 large, 1 small) right next to each other. Kuno and I did 2-wand LAI measurements.

I collected met, camera, and USB GHG data. I also cleaned the flux and rad sensors. The Arable dome top is still splotchy; I'm not sure how much the toothpaste helped. The wash reservoir was mostly full; Kuno refilled it.

LI-7500 readings:
CO2 403ppm
H2O 607ppm
T 18.8C
P 100.9kPa
SS 87-->88

LI7700 readings
CH4 1.95ppm
RSSI 64 --> 91 after cleaning

We left at 10:40.
