Summary: Lots of wasps and some ants, Water level sensor broken wire fixed, location adjusted.
| East End 2018-09-18 I arrived at 12:55 with Daphne and Kuno. It was clear, sunny and warm. The water level was 20.5cm. Lots of wasps in the wash box and around the tower. The wash box lid was closed because the screw cap has gone missing. I covered the bottle opening with a plastic bag and left the box lid open to discourage the wasp occupation. There were some ants in the data logger box. We added moth balls. The Rotating Shadow Band box was clean but I left a moth ball just in case. The water level sensor has not been reading correctly since 8/30. We pulled the sensor and other than a small, old chew mark it looked okay. Then we found a broken wire at the data logger. We put the sensor back in but a little higher due to mud in the pipe. The sensor is now 66cm below the top of the pipe, the top of the pipe is 30cm above the water and the sensor was reading 0.68psi. The 7500 read: 409ppm CO2, 625mmol/m3 H2O, 24.9C, 101.2kPa, 101SS The 7700 read: 1.99ppm CH4, 64RSSI – 77 after cleaning The wash reservoir was full We left at 13:35 |
