Summary: Tried last set of vegetation sippers one last time then pulled them out, standard data collection
Mayberry 2025-06-27 Kyle and I arrived at about 14:42 PDT. It was clear hot and sunny with a little breeze. The main levee has what looks like star thistle growing down the middle but most of the levees are brown. The Phragmites look healthy. There is a largish patch of cattail south of the tower that has died. The water near the tower was still pretty green but farther to the north northeast it looked blue but maybe just the angle of view. The water level was 38cm. Kyle put on waders and worked on the sippers near the boardwalk. She was only able to get a sample from one and then measured the surface salinity too, Surface, 1507uS, 27.7C Black-none, 2679uS, 33.6C Kyle might have comments on the actual depths when she pulled the sippers out. She hopes to redeploy them next week. I collected the met, flux and camera images. Then I cleaned the eddy sensors and radiometers and the camera window. The 7500 read: 419.9ppm CO2, 811.9mmol/m3 H2O, 32.1C, 100.3kPa, 101.2SS - 103.1 after cleaning The 7500 clean: 428.0ppm CO2, 760.2mmol/m3 H2O The 7700 read: 2.10ppm CH4, 55.6RSSI - 73.5 I refilled the wash reservoir. I collected the miniDot data and swapped its desiccant. I cleaned the solar panels and knocked down some of the weeds nearby. We left at about 15:15 PDT |
