Summary: Manure spread on the field, some water on the field to the east, corn may be planted soon.
Bouldin Alfalfa 2025-06-27 Kyle and I arrived at about 13:00 PDT. It was hot and sunny. The field right where you turn off Hwy 12 seems to have gone through the same progression as our fields and now has corn growing in it. Our field and the one to the east still have the big ditches carved into them. The field to the east has some water in the northwest corner. There was a manure smell that Kyle confirmed was coming from the fields. I guess they spread manure, will flood them up to bank some moisture in the ground and plant corn soon. From the phenocam images, a tractor spent about five days spreading manure over the entire field. At the tower I collected the met, flux and camera data while Kyle cleaned the sensors. The 7500 read: 411.6ppm CO2, 754.1mmol/m3 H2O, 32.8C, 101.0kPa, 96.9SS The 7500 clean: 433.1ppm CO2, 661.1mmol/m3 H2O, 100.1SS I collected the 720 data but forgot that Licor had wanted me to check on something. Get a screen shot of the "Show Details" dialog and new interface software. We left at about 13:15 PDT |
