Summary: Installed miniDOT DO profile. End of portable tower campaign. Brought in portable tower.
Mayberry 2014-10-09 I arrive about 2pm with Patty. It was clear, warm and breezy. The wetland looks really brown, but the tules are still largely green. They resurfaced the levees. There is a lot of loose dusty dirt on top that might be a slippery problem if it rains. Permanent Tower The 7500 read: 405ppm CO2, 665mmol/m3 H2O, 100.6SS, 27.0C, 101.23kPa The 7700 read: 1.96ppm CH4, 43.7RSSI – 68 after cleaning. There was a ton of cattail fluff stuck to all the open path sensors and spider webs. I clean it all off. I also cleaned the camera window and the radiation sensors. We installed the miniDOT DO sensors in a profile on the fence post in the channel. sn 1220 at 26cm below the surface sn 1219 at 66cm below the surface sn 1221 at 109cm below the surface There was a bunch of wasps in the wash reservoir box. Did not get a good look, but the water level seemed close to full. Portable Tower We took down and brought in the portable tower. Everything was really dusty from the levee resurfacing. We checked the systems before disassembly but left the data for collection in the lab. The 7700 read: 1.95ppm CH4, 40.1RSSI The 7500 read: 403.7ppm CO2, 566.6mmol/m3 H2O, 75.1SS, 29.71C, 101.19kPa The fence posts at both of the portable sites still need to be removed. |
