Summary: Grasses yellowed, cattails still green, tipping bucket test and adjusted.
| East End 2014-10-09 I arrived about 11:45 with Patty. It was clear, sunny and pleasant with a nice breeze. The grasses have gone to seed and turned yellow, but the cattails are still verdant. Many of the cattails are more than head high now. Patty collected water samples. I started a tipping bucket test at 11:45. At the end of the test there were 8.8mm or 88 tips. There should have been 100 tips. We turned the screws two turns CW to correct – 2 to 3 tips per half turn. The data will have to be cleaned. The 7500 read: 16.17mmol/m3 CO2, 590mmol/m3 H2O, 101.3kPa, 28.0C, 249diag The 7700 read: 1.88ppm CH4, 20-28RSSI The sprayer on the 7700 wasn’t seated correctly so RSSI might be a little low – fixed. There were lots spider webs. After cleaning the RSSI was 74 and CH4 was 1.90ppm. The radiometers were clean for a change. |
