Summary: Wind damage to solar panels and batt box, installed phenocam, data download
| Patty and Brandon arrived at 10:30am, cloudy skies and some light drizzle. Looks like the wind pulled the solar panels and top of battery box off, they were lying on the ground. We disconnected the panels from the batt box top and layed the top back on the box. Batts had 11.9V so seemed ok. Then we propped the solar panels up against the box but they will likely be blown over again. Whole system needs an overhaul. Once panels were facing sun, the system turned on again. Patty installed washer on 7700, cleaned sensors and downloaded data. Looks like we lost power on 11/13/2024. Pre-clean: CH4 2.05 ppm RSSI 17 P 101.07 T 15.9 CO2 433 ppm SS 94.5 H2O 10.95 mmol mol-1 Post-clean: CH4 1.99 ppm RSSI 66 P 101.06 T 16.2 CO2 416 ppm SS 97.09 H2O 13.63 mmol mol-1 We installed the phenocam sn 0030F4D0A725 but the power cable was a little short so we need to bring a longer one next time. We were able to power it on just to test it and adjust the view on the phenocam. Looks good. Phenocam not powered for now. It's connected to CR1000 sn 45312 and NL115 sn 12397 to collect the images. Brandon measured out our fencing needs: 10 lengths of fencing surrounds neighboring tower, They are 96" long and 34" tall installed using fence stakes. Will bring fencing supplies and guy wires next visit. Also next time bring another boardwalk-would be nice to have on the top level. |
