We arrived about 14:10 PDT. It was hot and sunny. The water level was a bit lower, but the inlet running strong.

I lowered both the CO2 probe and the conductivity probe a few cm. The top of the conductivity probe was peeking out of the water and the CO2 probe was barely submerged. I lowered it so that the water level was at the base of the white tape.

Dennis and Patty took water samples at the inlet and outlet. I took them near the tower, although it was hard to get a sample without sediment. We cut back the vegetation at the inlet because there were seriously the largest spiders I have ever seen hanging off every branch. It was straight out of a Tim Burton film.

We were unable to clean the sensors again because of the wasps. Saraâ€™s work on the wasp nests last week improved conditions for this week but there were still a ton of live wasps in the nest. I followed up with another treatment this week and stuck a stick in the tube to try to make more room to spray the poison and pull out some of the nest. I wasnâ€™t able to get too much out because it was like a Barbie DreamhouseÂ® in there. Will do another application next week.
