Summary: Standard fieldwork. Theta probes didn't record last week, adjusted datalogger code to fix.

We arrived about 09:00 PDT. It was partly cloudy, breezy, and cool (19 C). There was about half standing water, half muddy soil under the bridge on the way in. Vegetation at the site continues to shrink in stature with continued cow trampling and without new growth.

I attended to the tower and downloaded data while Dennis, Sara, and Eva did moisture point, soil CO2 flux, and spectral measurements. I had to restart the PC to bring up the Loggernet screen. Removed another wasp nest from the door to the computer box.

LGR readings: 1.83 ppm, 09:04, 25.5 C, 134.2 Torr (adjusted to 145 Torr), 12.56 us, 10 Hz

7500 readings:
CO2: 16.5 mmol m-3 (same after cleaning)
H2O: 660 mmol m-3 (same after cleaning)
diag: 248
p: 101.6 kPa
t: 21.4 C
sos: 345.0 m s-1

MET looked good except for the three Theta soil moisture probes were all reading zero. After some investigation and talking to Joe, we determined that the problem was the program. After adding the water pressure sensor last week, the part of the code where the Theta probes were turned on periodically to take measurements no longer functioned well. We changed the code to keep the probes on at all times, and this fixed the problem.

Soil CO2 looked good.
