Summary: Took water samples. Cable from tower to 23x dead. Installed new water pressure sensor. 7700 reservoir empty, adjusted settings. Fan on HMP45 dead. Downloaded data.

Permanent tower
We arrived about 12:45 PST. It was cloudy and breezy, about 14°C, looking like rain. The site looked remarkably more senescent since we visited two weeks ago. Most tules were golden. Joe checked the tower while Sara and I went out to the channel to collect water samples and do other maintenance.

I swapped in a connector at the 23x to switch the cable from the CS I/O port over to the RS232 port. However, this still did not enable us to connect to the 23x from the tower. There must be a break in the line somewhere. We also swapped in a new water pressure sensor, keeping it at the SE base of the scaffold. The water height was 120 cm and the pressure was reading 1.4. We collected the 23x data at the scaffold.

Back at the tower, Joe found that the 7700 reservoir was empty and refilled it with DI water at the site. I think he also switched the settings to spray water for 10 seconds instead of 20. The fan on the HMP45 was dead. The clocks were all reading the correct PST time. Data and camera pics were downloaded.

Current 7700 readings:
CH4 = 1.9 ppm
RSSI = 40 (bumped to 80 after cleaning)

7500 readings:
CO2: 394 ppm
H2O: 480 mmol m-3
agc: 50 (it was sprinkling)
p = 101.4 kPa
