Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, CR1000 frozen but data ok, no USB GHG data past Mar. 31--fixed?

Hill Slough

Carlos and I arrived at 17:15 PDT. It was mostly sunny and breezy with many cumulus and rain clouds on the horizon. It was breezy but surprisingly less windy than on Bouldin Island. A vehicle had knocked down about 100m of the roadside fence right in front of our boardwalk.

The water level was relatively low and the tide was going out. The staff gauge read 4.37ft at 16:27 PST. The wash reservoir was ½ empty; we refilled it.

I downloaded met, cam, USB GHG, and miniDOT data. There were plenty of opossum shrimp hanging out inside the loose pantyhose on top of the miniDOT, but the rest of the sensor was fine. We swapped the miniDOT desiccant.

I couldn’t connect to the CR1000 and the mux was not clicking until I power cycled it, but the data looked complete. There was a small static shock when I touched the serial connector to plug it into the CR1000…not sure if that affected anything. The datalogger seemed fine afterwards.
The GHG data stopped on Mar. 31. When I connected to the 7550, the USB status = error. However, no error popped up on the laptop when I inserted the USB and I was able to move all the files to the laptop without issue. The fresh USB mounted fine and everything else looked fine.

Carlos checked the 7700 fuse and one of its screws, which were both dry. The urban tower 7700 on the Berkeley Way West building had a lot of water damage from this winter’s storms, so today we are checking all of the Delta 7700s. Since the fuse, fuse cap, and one of the 7700 screws was dry, we decided the 7700 interior is probably dry.

The 7500 read: 420ppm CO2, 189mmol/m3 H2O, 13.6C, 101.9kPa, 101SS
The 7700 read: 1.98ppm CH4, 73RSSI after cleaning

We left around 17:35 PDT.
