Carlos and I arrived at 11:30 PDT. It was mostly sunny with a cold wind. After yet another atmospheric river last week, I think there will finally be a pause in major rain events (or maybe it will never rain again).

The wild carrot/queen anne’s lace has really grown in by our path behind the solar panels in the past few weeks. Some green vegetation is starting to come up through last year’s thatch.

A new year, a new batch of goats on the road! They were on the levee road north of Mayberry Slough, just past the Antioch Bridge. The shepherd helped us open and close the gates. Carlos gagged from the barnyard smell.

The staff gauge read 50cm.

I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. Carlos cleaned flux and rad sensors. The wash reservoir was 1/3 empty; we refilled it and I left the lid open to discourage wasps. The precip bucket funnel had a little fluff stuck on the bottom that Carlos poked out.

Carlos checked the 7700 fuse and one of its screws, which were both dry. The urban tower 7700 on the Berkeley Way West building had a lot of water damage from this winter’s storms, so today we are checking all of the Delta 7700s. The fuse cap had some old corrosion in it because this 7700’s fuse was rotten and changed last June. Since the fuse, fuse cap, and one of the 7700 screws was dry, we decided the 7700 interior is probably dry.

We swapped the LI-7500A for calibration: sn 0035 came off and sn 0418 went on. I uploaded the new config file, updated the pressure coefficients, changed the eddy clock +30sec from 10:53 to 10:53:30 to match the laptop time, and reset the 7550. All looked ok.
