Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, visitors from UCSC
2023-03-17 Hill Slough I arrived at 15:40 PDT with Luna and J.J. from UCSC, who are technicians responsible for the Elkhorn Slough towers. It was mostly overcast with thin clouds and a few cumulus clouds. We’ve had more rain in the past two weeks and more to come. A photographer was parked near our parking spot taking photos of birds. There is some new pickleweed coming up at the base of the boardwalk. The staff gauge read 4.6ft at 14:57 PST. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. Luna and J.J. cleaned flux and rad sensors and topped off the wash reservoir. They also set up the ladder just off the boardwalk to climb down and help me sample some water for the upcoming Knightsen field trip. We collected about a half gallon of water. The 7500 read: 420ppm CO2, 418mmol/m3 H2O, 19.6C, 101.8kPa, 101SS The 7700 read: 2.1ppm CH4, 26RSSI – 66RSSI after cleaning We left at 16:13 PDT. |
