Summary: Otters in the footprint! Ant and wasp problems in the boxes. Pump for 7700 went haywire.
| Paul and I arrived at 11:13am. The site is very brown now, skies were sunny with no wind. Radio says we will have a spare the air day tomorrow due to stagnant wind conditions. I downloaded data and collected water samples while Paul took photos of the otters (a family of 6 swam right by the tower!-and we have HD video of this—will post photos soon). We have an ant problem in the box with the 23x. We also have wasps in the water reservoir. The reservoir was totally dry, but RSSI looked fine. I went into manual controls for the 7700 and turned on the pump and spinner and they both turned on fine, but the pump would not turn off. I cycled power twice, but the pump would not turn off so I left it disconnected. The spinner seems to be working fine though. Readings 7700 CH4: 2.36ppm. 2.17ppm after cleaning. RSSI: 45.0%. 72.5% after cleaning. 7500 CO2: 420.3ppm H2O: 533.2mmol m-3 SS: 100.05% T: 14.26C P: 103.16 kPa SOS: 341.23 m s-1 |
