Twitchell Rice: 2014-11-25 13:15:00 (DOY 329)
Author: Patty Oikawa
Others: Paul Oikawa

Summary: Water level high. Installed heat flux plate, still not working. Fixed soil moisture probe and sent new met logger program.

Paul and I arrived at 1:15pm. Conditions were still sunny and calm with a bit of haze. Water level was very high, I could barely walk out on the boardwalk. I downloaded data, took spectral and water depth (33.5cm from top of pvc well pipe to water surface; 26cm from soil surface to water surface). I collected all met data before sending the new program with an updated multiplier for tipping bucket. I also changed the setting on the camera so large photos are stored instead of small. I found the orange wire for the CS615 was disconnected from the logger so I reconnected it to C7. I installed a new heat flux plate into the multiplexer on channel 16 (HFP01SC-62.1 uV/w/m2). The heat flux plate was reading INF, so this needs to be looked at next time—I couldn’t diagnose the problem. I noticed the reservoir was about 2/3 full but forgot to refill-need to do this next time.
