Twitchell Rice: 2011-10-20 08:30:00 (DOY 293)
Author: Jaclyn Hatala
Others: Sara Knox

Summary: rice is harvested

Arrived at Twitchell about 8:30am with Sara. Cool (14C) with very light breeze from the west. Our field is harvested, and they are working on taking the rice off the other fields. Talked to Jim for a bit - he says the harvest is the most productive year yet. He also asked about the generator, and I told him we'll need to keep it going for the next few months at least.

The tubing from the CH4 tower inlet (between the external filter and the water trap) had snapped due to photodegradation. We poached the tubing from the regulator inside the box, cut it, and replaced the broken section. The length is the same so lag time should not change, but I will double-check this in processing.

Pressure on the LGR was down to 132, so I opened up the flow valve to bring it up to 142 Torr. Ring time on the LGR was 14.3 microseconds.

I downloaded flux, met, and digital camera data.
