Dennis, Izzie, and I arrived around 11:00 PST (12:00 PDT). Izzie is an Environmental Sciences senior using Delta data in PEPRMT for her thesis. Our Belgian visitors for the day, Ivan Janssens and his wife, left their rental car at the main Sherman gate and rode with us to the tower.

It was cool, overcast, and breezy. The water level is still low (the staff gauge read 13cm) and the water is an almost bright brown color.

The weeds along the berm (between the solar panels and the tower) have really come up in the last month since my last visit. I see a whole new crop of pepperweed plants, unfortunately.

Dennis cleaned flux and rad sensors and topped off the wash reservoir. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. The water depth measurement from the CTD sensor is still not working. We have an extra water level sensor at West Pond that I’ll remove and install here. I downloaded the miniDOT data and swapped its desiccant.

Izzie measured surface water conductivity off of the tower. We did not try any porewater sippers since the water level is still low and it’s getting late.

The 7700 read: 1.95ppm CH4, 51RSSI – 72 after cleaning

We left around 11:35 PST (12:35 PDT). Ivan and his wife continued onto the rest of their day (Calaveras Big Tree + Yosemite!) while Dennis, Izzie, and I serviced the remaining sites.
