Joe and I arrived around 9:00 PDT. It was a sunny, windy, and dusty day. There were blue skies above but sufficient dust/haze at the horizons to cover Mt. Diablo. Our field has been harvested, but the leftover corn stalks seemed higher than usual, about knee height instead of shin height. Our field has been disked on the eastern edge. The farmers were disking the field immediately to the west; luckily for us the dust was being blown to the south so we were not directly blasted by the dust.

Later that afternoon Tyler texted that the farmers had also disked our field after we had left. Tyler was planning to move his chambers into the field the following day.

There are still a lot of green weeds around and under our tower. Joe weeded under the tower and under the radiometers, so that when the weeds dry out maybe the reflected radiation will match that of the dry corn stover.

I had forgotten the USB-serial adapter for my laptop, but thankfully Joe had one with his field laptop so I could still download all the data. I downloaded met, camera, USB GHG and PA data. I downloaded the FD data but did not clear its memory. The eddy clock looked ok. When the phenocam clock read 8:13, I changed it to 8:17 to sync with the laptop time. Joe cleaned the flux and rad sensors. The wash reservoir was 3/4 full; he refilled it.

Joe swapped PA sensors. Sn 68c63acc07a9 came down because itâ€™s tricky to get the microSD card seated correctly. Sn 84f3ebd5ffb1 went up; Joe changed the position of its microSD slot from the side to the underside of the sensor.

Joe checked and tightened the tower tie downs.

We left at 9:25 PDT.
