Summary: Bad AQI, Field still not harvested, Added cup anemometer and vane for Arable, jumper wires to open channels
Bouldin Corn 2020-10-05 I arrived at about 10:45. It was hot and hazy with little to no wind. The air quality was on the border of “Unhealthy for sensitive group†and “Unhealthy†at about 150 AQI. Our corn field is still unharvested and is beginning to look like one of the few remaining. Harvest activity is still in full swing in fields to the west. I installed a Davis Instruments cup anemometer and vane for Arable at 4m above ground level on the corner of the scaffolding with the sonic. A wire runs to a break out box (aux bridge) I installed near the Arable Marks on the other side of the scaffolding and plugs into the Mark II. I collected the data. The 7500 read: 423.1ppm CO2, 440.5umol/m3 H2O, 29.6C, 101.0kPa, 96.4SS – 101.8 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.1ppm CH4, 50.0RSSI – 87.1 after cleaning. I think the wash reservoir was full. I added jumper wires to zero out the open channels where the under canopy PAR sensors used to be connected. The purple air card had data on it. I tried to get it back in correctly but it’s a tricky business. I collected the FD data but did not clear its memory. And I think I left a cable and the box lid ajar – hope it doesn’t rain hard. I measured the water level in the well with a tape measure. The water level was 132cm below the top of the pipe. The Planet Labs Arable Marks are almost exactly 4m above the ground. I left at about 12:36 |
