Summary: Field recently mowed - clipped around tower and arable posts, Fixed problem with phenocam image transfer
Bouldin Alfalfa 2020-09-10 Daphne and I arrived at 15:00. It was warm and overcast. I didn’t smell smoke but nearby AQI stations were reporting 100-130. The field had been recently mowed but not raked yet. We trimmed the alfalfa under the tower and around the Arable posts. We collected data and cleaned sensors. There was ash on the radiometers. The 7500 read: 405ppm CO2, 739mml/m3 H2O, 24.0C, 101.5kPa, 101SS – 106.7 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.2ppm CH4, 23RSSI – 78 after cleaning. There were spider webs in the 7700 path causing sporadic low RSSI. The wash reservoir was refilled. There was some sticky residue on the z-par sensor maybe from whatever they sprayed the field with the other day. I don’t see any evidence of dying weeds and it seems a strange time for fertilizer but maybe it was a pesticide. The phenocam has not been recording images here since I swapped it out for one with the most current configuration scripts per request from the phenocam project. We added an Ethernet switch to connect everything at once and discovered that the CR1000 sn 66252 was using 192.168.2.1 instead of 192.168.2.100 as is our convention. I changed the CR1000’s IP address and saw the camera record images on the flash card. The camera image and clock seemed okay. We left at 15:55 The air quality was dropping fast as we left. I think the wind may have changed from on-shore to off-shore. When we got back to Berkeley the AQI was about 250. |
