Bouldin Alfalfa

I arrived at 15:40 PDT. It was a sunny and breezy day with blue skies. There werenâ€™t many wasps todayâ€”maybe they all went to East End since there were many wasps there today. The alfalfa was about knee height.

The wash reservoir was Â½ empty; I refilled it. The wash tubing had a crack near where it connected to the reservoir. I donâ€™t think the 7700 wash has been working for a while, because the lower mirror was dry and dusty when I checked. I trimmed off the cracked tubing and reattached it to the reservoir with a small cable tie.

I downloaded both FD chambers and the data continue to look noisy, so I removed both (sn FD20190028, sn FD20160001) and brought them back to the lab for testing. I installed an FD chamber I had just removed from corn (sn FD20180048). I installed it in the same location as sn FD2016001, closer to the datalogger enclosure.

I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. The camera files looked reasonable after Joe fixed the IP address problem last time. I cleaned flux and rad sensors. I swapped HMP fans; the red wire on the old fan had broken off. The â€œlocking nutâ€ on one of the HMP threaded bolts came off, but it worked out fine to just have it attached to the top shield layer.

I cleaned the solar panels. The pump sprayer was not pressurizing anymore so I just sloshed water onto the panels.

LI-7500 readings:
CO2 374ppm
H2O 487ppm
T 28.8C
P 101.5kPa
SS 101--> 108 after cleaning
LI7700 readings:
CH4 3.1ppm-->1.9 after cleaning
RSSI 2-->71 after cleaning

I left at 16:40 PDT.
