Summary: Wet and foggy, Fixed chewed diffuse PAR sensor, did soil respiration

I arrived about 14:40 with Dennis and Kyle. It was cold with a low overcast and little to no wind. The road was heavily rutted and slightly damp. We drove on the track that is developing on the field. The field is still green. The squirrels are still active.

The 7500 read: 509.8ppm CO2, 89.4mmol/m3, 67.6SS, 13.06C, 102.14kPa â€“ the lenses were wet, and I missed cleaning them.

The squirrels had chewed the diffuse PAR cable probably five weeks ago. I thought there was a bug in the data logger program, but maybe not. I soldered a splice into the cable. The numbers were better, but it was 100% diffuse light today so no change due to the shadow band was observable.

I collected data â€“ very few photos on the camera. Dennis reset the camera.

Kyle did soil respiration.

Dennis cleaned the solar panels, filled squirrel holes and tried to cut the ground sensor cables with the shovel.
