Summary: Wet and foggy, added third solar panel, swapped water CO2 probe, took 360x180 panoramas
| East End 2015-12-08 I arrived about 11am with Kyle. Dennis arrived a little later. It was cold with lifting fog and little to no wind. Site conditions have not changed much. Dennis and Kyle took care of the tower. The 7500 read: 363ppm CO2, 617.5mmol/m3 H2O, 30.9SS, 11.47C, 102.5kPa – 88SS after cleaning (wet) The 7700 read: 2.3ppm CH4, 13RSSI – 61 after cleaning (wet) I worked on adding a third solar panel. I forgot to bring the security bolts and drivers. There were two holes on the frame that I was able to attach the new solar panel sn 11ZV0M1127 to with standard 1/4-20 bolts. I could not access the junction boxes on the other solar panels because they are blocked by the frame. So I wired the new panel directly to the solar charge controller. The incoming solar amps rose from 1.7A to 2.5A. The load was about 1.5A, so with the third panel the batteries could be recharged even under foggy conditions. Almost no photos on the camera. I swapped the Forerunner CO2 probe. The connection on the existing probe was not taped and looked corroded, but I was able to get it apart carefully using two wrenches. The probe connector had been painted. The paint flaked off but there was little to no corrosion beneath the paint. A 4% probe sn GP20140021 came off and an 8% probe sn GP20150109 went on. Kyle took 360x180 panoramas. |
