Summary: Site very green and growing quickly. Water level higher. Need plugs for rad boom. Picam operating smoothly.
| East End Wetland 2015-04-09 We arrived around 11:50 PDT. It was sunny and warm with high clouds. The site is very green and growing quickly. Cattails are already 2m high in spots. The water level is also higher, and the vegetation that grew in the exposed areas to the west-southwest of the tower has died. The designed channel in front of the tower and the pool to the northwest are mostly free of vegetation. Other areas are vegetated, but the veg density is relatively low. I can see how sunlight penetration is maximum during this time and also able to heat the water. There is wasp activity in the radiation boom. We need plugs for the ends. Rain gauge was clear. No bird fouling in new location. Raspberry pi camera operating smoothly. Readings: CO2 = 16.6 mmol m-3 (16.9 after cleaning) H2O = 440 mmol m-3 (350 after cleaning) p = 102 kPa t = 19 C diag: 247 sos: 343 m s-1 CH4: 20.1 ppm RSSI: 57% Topped off reservoir. |
