Summary: New growth popping up. Data download. Removed ladder. Water pressure sensor measurements. Need copper mesh on forerunners. Need wasp spray.
| Mayberry 2015-04-09 We arrived at about 09:30 PDT. Calmish and sunny. Lots of new growth popping up. Downloaded data (including miniDOT), cleaned sensors, took water samples. Brought ladder back to lab. Took water pressure sensor readings: The sensor was 60 cm below the water surface, and 5 cm above the soil. In the channel, the water level was 104 cm above the soil. The copper mesh on the bottom two Forerunner CO2 probes was gone. Need better attachment method. The top miniDOT sensor was clean, no algae. When we reinstalled it, we made sure it was pointing down and to the north, as it was last time. Incoming PAR seemed a little low, but check the data. We need more wasp spray for the summer. Readings CO2: 408 ppm (415 after cleaning) H2O: 490 mmol m-3 (500 after cleaning) signal strength = 100.56% (102.75% after cleaning) p = 101.8 kPa t: 15.7 °C sos = 340.2 m s-1 CH4: 2.05 ppm RSSI: 39% (69% after cleaning) Reservoir full. Cleaned rad. |
