Summary: Standard site visit. Other than some disheveled bird spikes on sonic, all good.
| Mayberry 2013-09-05 We arrived about 09:20 PDT. It was breezy, sunny, and warm. Laurie went out and grabbed water samples and cleaned the tule tower instruments while Joe and I attended to the tower. The site remains very lush and green with old standing plant material mixed in as a sub-layer. I measured the tules near the tower to be about 2.7 m in height from the water surface. The bird spikes on the sonic were a bit awry. Joe righted them. He also rinsed the solar panels which had paw print slide marks down the length of them. 7500 readings: CO2: 395 ppm (same after cleaning) H2O: 660 mmol m-3 (same after cleaning) signal strength = 96.5% (97.1% after cleaning) t: 21.2 C p = 101.5 kPa sos = 345.3 m s-1 Current 7700 readings: CH4 = 1.93 ppm (same after cleaning) RSSI = 58 (78 after cleaning) The reservoir was full. MET looked good. |
