Summary: Installed 7700 loaned from Frank. Updated CR1000 program to collect 7700 data. All good.

Wetland Construction
2013-09-05

We arrived around 10:30 PDT. It was sunny, warm (22 C), and windy. It was clear that there had been substantial tractor traffic through the site leading toward the field to the west of the tower. We dropped Laurie off at the alfalfa site to start field work while we met Frank here to install his 7700 (sn 0203). We downloaded data, installed the 7700, and loaded the CR1000 program Joe updated to read in the 7700 via ethernet. All worked well! I set the 7700 settings to match our other delta sites, with one exception: the 7700 update rate was set to 40 Hz. We noticed that at 10 or 20 Hz the CR1000 program missed 7700 readings periodically, resulting in NaN output. This was fixed by setting the 7700 to output at 40 Hz.

The new CR1000 program adds the 7700 data via the Ethernet port. It also fixed a bug in the slow table where sonic diag value was being recorded instead of sos. Also in the slow table, the 7500 pressure was changed to a high precision number and the same for the new 7700 pressure.

7500 readings:
CO2 = 13.07 mmol m-3 (16.0 after cleaning)
H2O = 1200 mmol m-3 (593 after cleaning)
Diag: 250 (248 after cleaning)
t = 25.8 C
p = 101.6 kPa
sos = 345.0 m s-1

MET looked good.
Cleaned radiation and solar panels.
