Summary: Some trouble connecting to 7550, will swap out for ant-free box next week. Took GPS reading of tower location.
| West Pond 2013-08-14 We arrived around 10:10 PDT. It was sunny, breezy, and warm (24 C). The inlet was running strong and the water under the tower normal. The ant population in the 7550 box continues to increase. It could just have been a finicky Ethernet connection, but I had some trouble connecting to the 7550; it kept kicking me out. Otherwise, no problems. Next week we plan to pull the box and work on the ant eradication from the lab. I downloaded the configuration to help set up the replacement next week. I downloaded data while Sara cleaned the flux and radiation instruments. We forgot the vials for water samples. 7500 readings: CO2 = 400 ppm (same after cleaning) H2O = 625 mmol m-3 (same after cleaning) signal strength = 86.8% (87.8% after cleaning) t = 25.9 C p = 101.0 kPa sos = 347.8 m s-1 7700 readings: CH4 = 1.91 ppm (same after cleaning) RSSI = 28 (82 after cleaning) Reservoir was full. MET looked good. I took a GPS reading of the tower location: N 38 06.446', W 121 38.814', -9 m |
