Summary: Rice seeding heavily. Data download. Regular fieldwork. Pulled soil moisture sensor for repair. Took GPS reading of tower location.
| Twitchell Rice 2013-08-14 We arrived about 08:30 PDT. It was sunny, cool (20 C), and windy. The water level seems to be back to normal and the rice is seeding heavily. I attended to the tower and downloaded data while Sara did spectral and clip plots. 7500 readings: CO2 = 392 ppm (395 after cleaning) H2O = 600 mmol m-3 (560 after cleaning) signal strength = 80.8% (81.3% after cleaning) t = 19.9 C p = 101.8 kPa sos = 345.8 m s-1 7700 readings: CH4 = 1.9 ppm variable by +- 0.1 (more stable after cleaning) RSSI = 30-50 variable (71 after cleaning) There were spider web filaments in the path. Reservoir was full. MET data looked good except for CS615_SM1 which was still reading INF. I pulled the instrument for repair. Sara attached the DO probe to the well depth tube (it was lying free in the water). I took a GPS reading of the tower location: N 38 06.525', W 121 39.180', -5 m |
