Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, uploaded new Sontek config file, removed one Ottercam for lack of view

Gilbert Tract

Joe and I arrived to the channel at 18:25 PDT. It was a mild and breezy golden hour. There was some cattail fluff flying around but not as crazy as it has been.

We downloaded the SL data and uploaded the new SL configuration file that Ari created with the updated channel geometry (deployment_20220331.sontek_system_config). The software asked if we wanted to reset the site memory, which resets the volume calculation (among other parameters?). We reset the site memory. We have a copy of all the raw data, so we can re-run any calculations as needed.

We arrived at the tower around 18:40 PDT. The tide was mid-low and ebbing. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. I downloaded the miniDOT data and swapped its desiccant. I used a brand new CF card from the camera because there were some missing photos from the last download. The wash reservoir was 1/3 full; we refilled it.

The dissolved CO2 data had some NANS but we left it as is for now because we need to move all the water sensors anyways to get them into deeper water.

Ottercam North had only a few videos of grass that we deleted. Joe repositioned this camera so it’s higher up on the levee slope and facing the water’s edge. We removed Ottercam South because it’s seeing mostly grass and needs a longer stake anyways.

Joe cleaned flux and rad sensors. The tipping bucket was full of water and plugged by bird poop. We emptied the water and tipped the bucket a few times; these tips should be NAN-ed out.

LI-7500 readings:
CO2 418ppm
H2O 551ppm
T 20.3C
P 100.9kPa
SS 98 --> 99 after cleaning
LI7700 readings:
CH4 2.0ppm
RSSI 46 --> 80 after cleaning

We stopped at the SL again to check if new data was stored after uploading the new config file. I think we saw at least 1 new line of data.

We left around 19:00 PDT.
