Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, swapped 7500 for calibration, removed Stardot camera, re-drilled radiometer boom bolt hole
2022-03-31 Mayberry Joe and I arrived around 16:45 PDT. It was warm, breezy, and mostly clear with some thin high clouds and a few cumulus clouds. The weeds have really started growing in around the solar panels and on the path between the car and the tower. The weeds were covering all the holes in the ground so it was hard to walk to the tower without accidentally stepping in a hole. The staff gauge said 81cm. Joe pulled up the water boom, which was difficult because the bucket on the end was full of water. The bucket drained as the boom was up, and the bucket was floating when Joe lowered the boom, so it's not a huge leak. The bucket will probably slowly fill up with water as it's submerged and we’ll need to replace the bucket at some point. I collected met, cam, and USB GHG data. I checked the conductivity sensor as part of its routine check every 3 months and confirmed the orifice was clean. I downloaded the miniDOT data and swapped desiccant for the miniDOT and water level sensors. Joe swapped the LI-7500 for calibration: sn 1594 came off and sn 75H-2180 went on the tower. I uploaded a new configuration file and updated the pressure coefficients. I changed the eddy clock +30sec to match the laptop time and reset the box. I confirmed the USB was logging. Joe removed the Stardot sn 0030F4D214A4 camera + enclosure and the Canon enclosure from the wooden post. We are done with the camera intercomparison here so these items came back to the lab. The Picam will be the new permanent camera here. The rad boom bolt hole had been stripped. Joe drilled the hole one size larger and threaded it. He installed a length of too-long all-thread for now. He cleaned the rad and flux sensors. The bottom boardwalk needs to be replaced. LI-7500 readings (sn 1594 --> sn 75H-2180): CO2 420 ppm --> 425 H2O 448 mmol/m3 --> 465 T 23.0 --> 23.0 P 100.5kPa --> 100/8 SS 100 --> 101 LI7700 readings: CH4 1.96 RSSI 66 --> 85 after cleaning We left at 17:35 PDT. |
