Koong and I arrived at 14:35 PST. This was Koong’s first time visiting the Delta field sites. It was mild, calm, and mostly overcast – perfect weather for a first visit. The alfalfa looked a bit tattered and a bit shorter than last visit. There were many birds in the air and flocks on various fields around us, so I’m guessing the geese have been grazing the alfalfa on our field as well.

I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. There are still gaps in the mux sensors. This time I checked the screws on all the ports. Everything was pretty tight, but maybe 1H/1L on the datalogger were a ½-1/4 turn loose. This could explain the gaps in the mux data—we’ll see next time if the issue is fixed. I also unplugged and replugged all the mux terminal blocks.

I downloaded the FD data and cleared its memory. I downloaded the IRT data by swapping the microSD card and using CardConvert to convert the fast data to TOB1 and the slow data to TOA5.

Koong took veg height measurements and cleaned flux and rad sensors. We topped off the wash reservoir. We skipped spectral measurements because it was mostly overcast.
