Bouldin Alfalfa

Carlos and I arrived at 12:25 PST. It was sunny and mild with small gusts of wind.

We pulled out some weeds growing around and under the tower, mostly some grasses and thistles. The alfalfa looks sprayed. Most of the alfalfa plants had yellow or wilting leaves on the upper part of the plant, but the alfalfa closer or under the tower all looked fine. I’m guessing they were spraying for weeds? The small weeds all looked happy but some of the bigger weed plants also looked yellow and raggedy. Looking at the phenocam photos back in the lab, there was a tractor with a spray boom driving through the field in the morning on 2022-02-05.

Carlos took veg height and spectral measurements, although later I couldn't find the spectral measurements on the SD card. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. There were some gaps in the mux data again so I pulled out and plugged in the mux blocks that connect to the datalogger. I'm not sure why this keeps happening. Maybe I need to spend more time cleaning up this datalogger box. I changed the eddy clock +1min from 12:53 to 12:54 and made sure to restart logging after the change.

I downloaded the FD data and cleared its memory. I downloaded the IRT data by swapping the microSD card and using CardConvert to convert the fast data to TOB1 and the slow data to TOA5. Carlos cleaned flux and rad sensors and topped off the wash reservoir.
