Summary: Scroll pump siezed blew fuse in LGR, got locked in, discovered back door.
Sherman
8/20/2009 Arrived about 2pm, windy, sunny, mild. LGR and pump not running. Everything else seemed running and okay. LGR seemed to be getting 120VAC power, but would not turn on. I decided to bring it in to check it out. Maybe the scroll pump pulled too much power and blew a fuse or power supply inside the analyzer. The scroll pump has almost 10k hours on it, probably should swap it out and have it serviced. Copied data and will put it on Data PC soon. Tried to troubleshoot the problem of MD9 not running for the CR10X1 data files. Still no idea why it is having problems. On the way in the gate at the road was open. On the way out it was locked and our usual lock had been replaced by a new lock that we do not have a key for. I got some phone numbers from Ben: Gene Peck: 916-826-8410 Joel 916-826-8411 Juan Mercado: 916-653-5620 I talked to Gene and he said that there was a back way out to the west by the Sherman Lake Marina. If you continue straight past our field eventually you will come to the back gate, or you can go south to the levee road and follow the levee around to the west. Gene says the back gate has a lock that fits our key, but it was open when I went through it. Then you follow West Sherman Island Road around to the north along the Sacramento River and rejoin Hwy 160 where it bends to the east, north of our usual exit to the Sherman site. |
