Summary: Upgraded solar power batteries and charge controller, calibrated 7700, removed DO sensor

I arrived about 10:00 with Sara. It was warm, sunny and still with almost no wind at all. The rice looks good, but still drying. They are harvesting safflower.

We put in some new batteries and a new solar controller. I had two older batteries in the lab and bought two more. We moved the three old group 8D out of the way and installed the four group 27 batteries. The old 8Ds didnâ€™t drop voltage immediately but might later. We also installed a new solar charger under the solar panels. The big wood box now contains nothing important.

We ran a new wire for the camera from the new solar charger. I adjusted the camera mount to match the historic view better.

We calibrated the 7700. The offsets seemed higher than usual around 70ppb. But otherwise the calibration went well.

The 7700 read: 2.2ppm, 42RSSI, 69 after cleaning and before cal.

We removed the DO sensor sn DO-08 as it was high and dry.

The tipping bucket was full of grass seed. I cleaned it out and may have tipped it a couple of times.
