Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, baby goats
2023-10-11 East End Kyle, Mel, and I arrived at 14:40 PDT. Mel is a new grad student in Iryna’s lab interested in mammal/bird benefits from wetland restoration projects. It was sunny, breezy, and mild. We had to open one panel gate to get to our tower and passed two goats and a handful of teeny tiny baby goats. The staff gauge read 68cm. Mel cleaned flux and rad sensors. We topped off the wash reservoir. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. I downloaded the miniDOT data and Kyle changed the desiccant for the miniDOT and water level sensors. I changed the eddy clock +1min around 13:50 PST to match the laptop time and restarted logging. I changed the 7700 heater from summer to winter hours. The old hours were 20:00 to 06:00 and the new hours are 18:00 to 08:00. The heaters prevent condensation from forming, so I extend its hours in the winter given the higher humidity and cooler temperatures. Kyle trimmed some of the tules around the precip bucket--they had regrown since Joe last trimmed them in late August. The 7500 read: 411ppm CO2, 480mmol/m3 H2O, 23.8C, 100.9kPa, 99SS – 103 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.12ppm CH4, 41RSSI – 70 after cleaning We left at 15:00 PDT. Looking at the data in the lab, RSSI looks weird. Check spray/spin next time. |
