Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, low water level in Mayberry Slough
2023-03-02 Mayberry Kyle and I arrived at 15:20 PST. It was mostly sunny with some clouds in the blue sky, and the breeze was starting to pick up compared to earlier in the day. There was about 5cm of rain last week, and more rain is expected at the end of next week. On the drive in, I noticed the water level is Mayberry Slough was much lower than usual. We could see exposed soil on the southern bank. The water level was about 1-2 m below the “water line” on the legs of the PG&E pipeline. The wetland had slightly more water than our last visit; the staff gauge read 60cm. Maybe they are pumping water out from the slough to prepare for more incoming rain? I downloaded met, cam, USB GHG, and miniDOT data. Kyle cleaned flux and rad sensors. I swapped desiccants for the miniDOT and water level sensors. The 7500 read: 423ppm CO2, 284mmol/m3 H2O, 15.3C, 101.3kPa, 100SS – 100 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.2ppm CH4, 53RSSI --> 73 after cleaning We still need to replace the AM25T here and reverse the thermocouple wiring for TC1-8 and for TC9-16. We left at 15:40 PST. |
