Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, need to update picam code, removed barnacle from conductivity sensor cable
2023-02-01 Mayberry Robert and I arrived at 11:10 PST. It was cold and breezy with some thin clouds. There were a lot of different birds flying and hanging out in Mayberry Slough, including some cormorants perching on the gas pipeline and drying their wings. Large swathes of tules/cattails in the middle of patches are blown or smashed down. On the other hand, the phragmites seem to be standing tall, although those are mostly on the levee edges. The muddy interior roads have mostly dried out, so it was no problem getting to the site. We found Robert’s Tupperware lid that he lost last time. The staff gauge read 54cm. I downloaded met, cam, USB GHG, and miniDOT data. Robert cleaned flux and rad sensors. We swapped desiccant for the miniDOT and water level sensors. I checked the conductivity sensor as part of its routine check every 3 months. The orifice was clear and I removed a large barnacle wrapped around the cable. I checked the picam code. Last visit, we noticed its images and zipped file were larger than for other picams. The code does seem to be the most recent version on my laptop from 2022-05-22. I reloaded the file from the laptop to the picam again just in case it would make a difference. I selected the option to skip nighttime images, timezone = -8 and lat/long match the AMP site page. However, later in the day I checked the picam code at East End (where photos are compressed) and it was from 2022-05-30, so the Mayberry picam does not actually have the most recent code. I downloaded the EE picam code and will load it to the Mayberry picam next time. The 7500 read: 441ppm CO2, 299mmol/m3 H2O, 9.6C, 101.8kPa, 100SS – 103 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.2ppm CH4, 51RSSI --> 85 after cleaning Here, we still need to swap out the AM25T and reverse the wiring order for TC1-8, 9-16. I will manually reverse the data for database upload for now, so the data on the database will be correct. The temperature data looks bad though--very negative temperatures. I need to double check that they're wired correctly. We left at 11:45 PST. |
