Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, swapped 7500 for calibration, upgraded 7700 firmware to 1.0.27, 7700 wash reservoir pump stays on
| 2019-02-12 East End Kuno, Camilo, and I arrived around 14:30. It was cold and overcast. The water level was 51 cm. We swapped 7500 for calibration: sn 75H-2150 came down, sn 75H-2667 went up. I updated the configuration file and pressure coefficients, and reset the box. I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. The eosGP sensor seem ok now (no longer maxing out). AirT/RH seem ok after the sensor swap on 2019-01-24. AtmP was drifting low in early January, but looks ok after 2019-01-18 (power-cycled on 2019-01-24, but that didn’t seem to affect AtmP much). There were no photos on the camera card, so I checked that it was set correctly this time. Camilo cleaned flux and rad sensors. The sonic needs a new spike. Kuno cleaned out the 7700 wash reservoir. He cleaned the bottle outlet at the bottom and the filter/tubing assembly by spraying DI water in the backwards direction. He reassembled the wash reservoir, and we manually tested the pump using the 7700 software, but the pump outlet was still dripping, not spraying. Kuno took the filter apart completely and sprayed some more algal gunk out. When we tested the pump again, it would turn on but not off. I tried resetting the box and rebooting the 7700, but the pump would still come on when the 7700 started up. I then upgraded the 7700 sn TG1-0423 firmware from 1.0.23 to 1.0.27 and reset the box. The pump would still come on when the 7700 started up, and pressing the “Turn on/off pump†did not do anything. Turning the “mirror spin†on started the mirror and stopped the pump, and turning the “mirror spin†off stopped the mirror but started the pump. We left the pump disconnected and the “mirror spin†off for now. There might be something loose in the wiring inside the wash reservoir. Before we left, I confirmed that the 7700 was connected, the USB was logging, and the GHG columns look good. We brought the extra plywood back to the lab. LI-7500 readings (sn 75H-2150--> sn 75H-2150 clean --> sn 75H-2667): CO2 420ppm --> 423 --> 429 H2O 378ppm --> 367 --> 407 T 9.2C --> 9.3 --> 8.8 P 101.4kPa --> 101.4 --> 101.2 SS 95--> 96 after cleaning --> 104 LI7700 readings: CH4 2.4ppm RSSI 35 --> 80 after cleaning We left at 15:40. |
