| Bouldin Alfalfa 2016-11-16 I arrived with Sam about 12:30. It was sunny and clear with a light wind. The roads were almost dry but we walked to the tower. They were beginning to mow the fields to the north of ours. I think all the alfalfa fields will be mowed in the next day or so. The alfalfa in our field was about knee high. Sam downloaded the data and I made a new Ethernet cable for the camera. The 7500 read: 400ppm CO2, 430mmol/m3 H2O, 19.9C, 101.6kPa, 105SS The 7700 RSSI was 38.3 – 68.3 after cleaning. The wash reservoir was about half full – refilled. Sam cleaned the radiometers. With the new Ethernet cable, I moved the camera up to near the top of its post. We wanted to reinstall the soil sensor set B that was mowed a while back, but I forgot to bring digging tools. It will be easier to put them back in after the alfalfa is mowed anyway. The solar panels look okay. The irrigation ditch is still empty. |
