Twitchell Rice: 2011-07-14 09:30:00 (DOY 195)
Author: Jaclyn Hatala
Others: Jose Luis Sanchez, Maribel Jaquez

Summary: Reinstalled well pressure transducer, reconnected atm pressure sensor, normal round of canopy measurements

Arrived at Twitchell around 9:30am. Was the most pleasant July day I've ever spent in the Delta, as temperatures were quite cool - around 15C when we arrived. Light winds from the west.

Instruments/Data: Reinstalled the well pressure transducer after Joe fixed the chewed-upon cable in the lab. Transducer is now 75cm below the top of the well. Reconnected the atmospheric pressure sensor in the datalogger, which Joe accidentally disconnected last week. Picked up the SD data card from inside the Twitchell box that was left there last week. Cleaned sensors of many spider webs.

Field measurements: We took 5 clip plots for LAI/biomass in the lab, took 5 canopy spectral reflectance measurements, and took LAI-2000 measurments along the transect. Tried to fly the kite to take aerial photographs, but wind was to intermittent to fly.
