Mayberry: 2011-04-22 11:30:00 (DOY 112)
Author: Joe Verfaillie
Others: Jaclyn

Summary: Swapped one string of TC on Tule Tower, Added but did not connect solar panel, moved autocam, sonic not working.

Mayberry
4-22-2011

I arrived about 11:30 with Jaclyn. There is a high thin overcast with a breeze from the west. The tules and cattails are mostly green now. Jim at Twitchell and Sam at Mayberry said that the salt at Mayberry is high and they have started flowing fresh water through the system to flush the salts.

I attached a solar panel to the tower, but did not wire it in.

Jaclyn replaced a string of TCs.

I measured the heights of the sensors relative to the water level:
Water Net 257cm sn990350
Water PAR 251cm sn010161
Water IRT 236cm sn1282
Incoming PAR 293cm sn010162
Tule Net 261cm sn041556
Tule PAR 254cm sn010163
Tule IRT 235cm sn1281

Our Tule patch is about 185cm high.

Other equipment serial numbers:
CR10X sn35474, wp16047, last cal 13 Jul 2007
AM25T sn2424
AM1632 sn 3052

I moved the autocam. I rotated its location to the south so that it was the same distance from the main tower but its view was shifted so that the Tule tower is now in its field of view. The camera is mounted on a fence post driven into the ground at the edge of the bales and the water. The vertical arm has a pivot to lower the camera for service. The battery and solar panel remain at the original location.

The solar system was reporting 13.5V, 4.3A solar, 1.3A load.

Jaclyn cleaned the Li7700 mirrors and checked the washer fluid but it was still full.

The sonic was not working again. I wiggled wires and checked connections. I ran for a few seconds a couple of times but in the end was not running. I will swap the sonic out next week.

We left the CH4 cal tank from Sherman.
