Summary: Add solar controler to Tule Tower, replaced tule TCs, replaced Sonic, problems with CFM card on CR1000.

I arrived about 12 noon with Jaclyn. It was clear and sunny with a breeze from the west. The water level seemed to be a little lower (a few centimeters). We saw lots of birds about, geese, terns, and a loon.

I added a solar charge controller to the Tule tower. And we replaced two strings of thermocouples in the Tules. Now all TCs should be working. We also set the two soil heat flux plates. The tule plate was pushed into tule litter on the bottom by hand and the water plate was pushed into the muck on the bottom with a boot. We downloaded data from the data logger.

We tested the bubble trap prototype. There seemed to be a leak in the collection tube.

We swapped the misbehaving sonic. The new one seemed to be working. I need to get its serial number.

We had a problem swapping the card on the CR1000. The card that went in was the one I found in Matteo’s things. It didn’t seem to initialize properly. I was able to format it through the Loggernet interface, but it still seemed bad. I had two copies of the Twitchell data so I put the Twitchell card into the CR1000. It could not create files for Mayberry since it was full of Twitchell files, so I formatted it, but it still seemed to be having problems initializing. Reloading the CR1000 program seemed to fix the problem. When we left all was working.

We swapped the card in the auto cam.
