Hill Slough: 2025-01-30 15:00:00 (DOY 30)
Author: Daphne Szutu
Others: Dennis, Arman
Summary: High tide, breezy, rain coming, swapped 7500 for calibration
2025-01-29 Hill Slough Dennis, Arman, and I arrived at 15:00 PST. It was high tide, cool and breezy. The staff gauge read 6.45ft at 15:00 PST. There was a big blue plastic barrel floating by the start of the boardwalk. We had to hop from dry land up to the first step of the boardwalk. Rain is coming starting tomorrow for 2-3 days, with more forecast next week. Dennis cleaned flux and rad sensors and reported the LWin sensor was dirty. The reservoir was full. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. We swapped the 7500 for calibration: sn 75H-2176 came off and sn 75H-2514 went on. I uploaded a new config file and updated the pressure coefficients. There was a 7700 time sync error after the swap, so I changed the eddy clock +30sec to match the laptop time. I restarted logging and confirmed the time error was gone. Arman measured surface and porewater conductivity at the tower. Surface, 2930uS, 10.2C Porewater, 6.83mS, 10.8C 75H-2176 old read: 426pm CO2, 365mmol/m3 H2O, 11.7C, 102.5kPa, 101SS 75H-2514 fresh read: 433pm CO2, 348mmol/m3 H2O, 12.1C, 102.5kPa, 96SS 7700 read: 2.0ppm CH4, 47RSSI — 88 after cleaning We stopped at the channel to download miniDOT data and swapped its desiccant. The miniDOT could use a new pantyhose sock. We left around 15:30 PST. |
