Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, cold day after chamber/soil sampling at Gilbert Tract in the morning
| 2023-12-07 West Pond Robert and I arrived around 16:00 PST. We are servicing Twitchell/Bouldin Islands after helping with Kuno’s chamber/soil sampling campaign in the first part of the day. The weather had cleared up so it was partly cloudy with golden light and lots of bird sounds. The staff gauge read 45cm. I had prepped a new water level sensor to install here, but once we arrived I saw there was already a working water level sensor. The sensor I brought today was actually meant for Hill Slough. Robert and I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. Robert cleaned flux and rad sensors. The water reservoir was ½ full; Robert refilled it. I changed the eddy clock +2:30min to match the laptop time around 16:30 PST and restarted logging afterwards. The miniDOT is due today but I didn’t download it. It was getting late and I decided it could wait. There’s plenty of storage in the miniDOT. The 7500 read: 422ppm CO2, 512mmol/m3 H2O, 12.6C, 102.1kPa, 102SS after cleaning The 7700 read: 1.9ppm CH4, 76RSSI after cleaning We left around 16:35 PST. |
